55 Mins: Two in a row for Molloy, practically the same shot too. Galway are dominating the kickouts totally now.

GOAL for Galway! Shane Walsh twists and turns beyond an injured MacMahon. His effort was partially saved, but John Maher was there to follow up and slap it home. Dublin 0-17 Galway 1-20

53 Mins: Kieran Molloy gets a really sweet point running on the loop. Dublin 0-17 Galway 0-19

51 Mins: Finnerty misses a long-range one-point attempt off his right boot. One of very few errors for the corner-forward. Con O’Callaghan wins a free outside the arc and takes it off the floor, but it’s a long way out. It hits the post and Scully is fouled winning the ball back. A single point so. Dublin 0-17 Galway 0-18

49 Mins: Huge goal chance for Dublin this time, but Collm Basquel is put off by Hernon and puts it wide. Ross McGarry has come on for Costello. Dublin 0-16 Galway 0-18

Full-time in both Group 1 camogie games:

Cork 1-13 Waterford 0-10

Galway 3-17 Tipperary 0-15

47 Mins: Dylan McHugh hares through a suddenly deserted Dublin defence but shanks his goal attempt well wide. Damien Comer is now on for Galway, replacing Cillian McDaid. Céin Darcy scores a good left-footed shot. Dublin 0-16 Galway 0-18

45 Mins: Dublin really should have picked off an easy score there, but O’Callaghan and Scully complicate things a little and have to recycle it. They’re really struggling to make chances so far in this half. Finally, they get their first score of the half, a two-pointer from Basquel. Dublin 0-16 Galway 0-17

42 Mins: Colm Basquel kicks a ball about twenty metres wide with his left foot. Dublin win the kickout and go slowly with it, but Clancy is swallowed up by this revitalised Galway side. Dublin 0-14 Galway 0-17

41 Mins: Dublin have been pretty shocking since the restart, coughing the ball up cheaply again and Ó Laoí gets a score this time. Dublin 0-14 Galway 0-17

40 Mins: Galway win the ball back deep in their half and work it up the field quickly. Shane Wlash then plays the pass of the season with the outside of the boot across to McDaid and he pops it over. Dublin 0-14 Galway 0-16

38 Mins: John Daly makes a hash of a two-point attempt that nearly turns into a goal chance, but Dublin win it back. Then they give it away terribly, and Finnerty gets a two-pointer from a good distance out. Dublin 0-14 Galway 0-15

36 Mins: Galway try to go a little more direct immediately. McHugh ends up getting the shot, but a Dublin hand in puts off the wing-back at the last second. Ó Cofaigh Byrne play the ball in quickly to his clubmate O’Callaghan, but his left-footed effort is poor. Dublin 0-14 Galway 0-13

Galway are back out now, so it’ll be back on in a moment.

Galway have their place in the camogie semi-finals sealed, with a big lead in their final group game against Tipperary.

46 Mins: Galway 3-12 Tipperary 0-11

Meanwhile, Cork are leading in the all-Munster clash against Waterford.

51 Mins: Cork 1-10 Waterford 0-8

Half-time: Dublin 0-14 Galway 0-13

A late fisted effort by O’Callaghan puts Dublin in front at half-time. Their kickout game has been dominant and quick, long passes have also been effective for the Dubs, but you would have to imagine Galway will improve in the second half. That being said, their conversion rate was excellent in that half.

34 Mins: Another two-point miss for Dublin, who are dominating the kickouts, but not really making it count. Then Conroy shows Dublin how it’s done with a casual two-pointer. Dublin 0-13 Galway 0-13

32 Mins: Dublin hassle the Galway attack really well and win it back. Eoin Kennedy gets a real peach of a score for a one-pointer then. Dublin 0-13 Galway 0-11

30 Mins: Scully finally gets it right from outside the arc, a very central shot under no pressure. Galway switched off badly there. Dublin 0-12 Galway 0-11

29 Mins: McHugh gets a very handy score after poor tracking by Dublin. Scully kicks long to O’Callaghan, who fields again and Hernon grabs the jersey again, but no yellow yet. Costello converts. Dublin 0-10 Galway 0-11

27 Mins: A good ball in from Paddy Small is caught by O’Callaghan, and Cian Hernon grabs a fistful of his shirt to stop the goal chance. Free in, and it is popped over by Costello. They win the kickout, but the 15 kicks his next shot wide from play. Dublin 0-9 Galway 0-10

25 Mins: Dublin get a well-worked score from a quick kickout with Costello applying the finish. Kieran Molloy does well to reply with a point at the other end. Dublin 0-8 Galway 0-10

24 Mins: Finnerty jinks inside very well and fists one over the bar. Then Galway win the kickout and release Darcy quickly who cracks over the two-pointer. Dublin 0-7 Galway 0-9

21 Mins: Dylan McHugh makes a really good break up the middle and punts the ball over the bar. Comerford’s kickout is poor, but a great McMorrow challenge wins it back for the Dubs. In the end, O’Callaghan hits a poor two-point attempt. Dublin 0-7 Galway 0-6

18 Mins: Basquel gets his first of the game, taking on McDaid and scoring off his right. Dublin 0-7 Galway 0-5

17 Mins: Dublin have it again thanks to excllent ball-winning by Ó Cofaigh Byrne, but Scully doesn’t quite catch a two-point attempt. Dublin 0-6 Galway 0-5

15 Mins: A terrible miss from Scully but Galway cough up possession thanks to an excellent tackle by Ó Cofaigh Byrne, and Small gets a point for Dublin. Dublin 0-6 Galway 0-5

13 Mins: Galway have settled on their kickouts a bit more now. They build up the play again and Finnerty strikes one from outside the arc and gets his side’s first two-pointer. Dublin 0-5 Galway 0-5

11 Mins: Shane Walsh fumbles and gives away the ball under very little pressure, but Dublin waste possession with a poor forward pass. Ó Laoí gets his first of the day after a neat pass by Cillian McDaid.

9 Mins: Galway can’t win their own kickout. O’Callaghan gets a handy score from Dublin’s possession this time. Finally Tierney wins a kickout for the Tribesmen. Dublin 0-5 Galway 0-2

8 Mins: Paul Conroy spoons a terrible two-point effort way into the air. At the other end, Paddy Small gets on the end of a long Dublin move and floats a two-pointer over. Dublin 0-4 Galway 0-2

6 Mins: Dublin win the kickout again, but Galway do well to surround Paddy Small and Costello, with John Maher eventually winning the ball back. Dublin fall for the same trick of the over-the-top run that cost them the first point, and Céin Darcy opens his account. Dublin go quickly and O’Callaghan gets his first score of the day. Dublin 0-2 Galway 0-2

4 Mins: It’s Dublin’s turn to attack now, and they go methodically too. Cormac Costello gets the shot away on the turn and it flies over. That’s a good start for the corner-forward. Howard wins the Galway kickout then and Costello misses this time. Dublin 0-1 Galway 0-1

2 Min: Matthew Tierney wins the throw-in and Galway play it slowly in towards the Hill end of Croke Park. And it’s very slow indeed, trying to create a 100% chance for a score. They eventually win a free and Finnerty pops it over. Dublin 0-0 Galway 0-1

There’s a moment’s silence to remember three people, including Galway’s All-Ireland winner Paul Clancy. Galway line up in the shape of the number 10, where he played most of his football for the county.

Ian O’Riordan sends on his last update on Louth-Monaghan ahead of his match report later:

"Louth 0-27 Monaghan 2-18

Wow! A thrilling endgame by Louth has won them a place in the All-Ireland semi-final for the first time since 1957, a final flourish of scores simply too hot for Monaghan to handle as they closed out deserving three-pointer winners.

Despite losing midfielder Sean Callaghan to a straight red card eight minutes into the first half, Louth never gave up the belief, and when Tadgh McDonnell drew them level again on 67 minutes, their spirits soared again.

Ciaran Byrne and Ryan Burns added two more scores, which meant Monaghan were chasing a goal in the final 60 seconds to save their hopes. Despite winning a last-gasp free, they gave away the ball, Byrne holding the possession as the final hooter sounded."

In the camogie championship, reigning champions Galway have made a good start to their must-win game against Tipperary. Meanwhile, Cork hit the back of the net early on against Waterford.

19 Mins: Galway 1-4 Tipperary 0-4

20 Mins: Cork 1-3 Waterford 0-4

Here are the teams to start the second quarter-final of the day. It has some game to live up to. The big news is that Seán Kelly will not start the game today; a real blow for Galway. Dublin line out as selected earlier in the week, but there is probably going to be a lot of positional switching from the named team.

Dublin: Evan Comerford; Seán MacMahon, Eoin Kennedy, David Byrne; Lee Gannon, Theo Clancy, Charlie McMorrow; Peadar Ó Cofaigh Byrne, Brian Howard; Colm Basquel, Con O’Callaghan, Niall Scully; Paddy Small, Ciarán Kilkenny, Cormac Costello.

Galway: Conor Gleeson; Jack Glynn, Cian Hernon, Liam Silke; Dylan McHugh, John Daly, Kieran Molloy; Paul Conroy, John Maher; Céin Darcy, Finnian Ó Laoi, Cillian McDaid; Robert Finnerty, Matthew Tierney, Shane Walsh.

In a championship full of shocks and brilliant stories, this Louth win may be the feel-good story of the season. Look at these scenes.

Dara McDonnell is the man of the match after an incredible game at centre-back. He won nine kickouts today, something else.

Full-time: Louth 0-27 Monaghan 2-18

Just incredible! Louth have made their first All-Ireland semi-final since 1957 and they did it with 14 men for over an hour. What an achievement! Monaghan looked to have the winning of the game when they led with 15 minutes to go, but the Louth bench’s impact was incredible.

69 Mins: Louth will win this! Louth will be in the semi-finals! Here’s another point from Ryan Burns. Monaghan need a goal. Louth 0-27 Monaghan 2-18

68 Mins: Dara McDonnell wins another kickout and Ciaran Byrne curls over a second point. Louth have the ball back again now. Two minutes left. And Byrne has got another! Two in it. Louth 0-26 Monaghan 2-18

66 Mins: A very harsh free against Monaghan there from the kickout, as Seán Hurson spots a push on a Louth player. Not sure about that one. They keep the ball from the fre, eventually finding the livewire McDonnell who puts over another point. He’s been excellent off the bench. Louth 0-24 Monaghan 2-18

65 Mins: Conor McCarthy makes a great line break and slips a point over. Louth 0-23 Monaghan 2-18

64 Mins: O’Hanlon plays a great crossfield pass, finding Max Maguire and the sub pops it over off his left foot. Monaghan lead. Only for a minute though, as Ciaran Byrne gets a brilliant first score off the bench. Louth 0-23 Monaghan 2-17

62 Mins: Louth hold the ball for a couple of minutes and then finally release Mulroy into the arc, but his heels are clipped just outside it. It looks a soft free, but it’s probably the correct decision. Mulroy takes it and puts it wide though. That was a huge chance. David Garland is on now for Monaghan, replacing Woods. Louth 0-22 Monaghan 2-16

60 Mins: Louth win Mooney’s kickout and find Tadhg McDonnell tearing through, and he fists it over for the leveller. Louth 0-22 Monaghan 2-16

58 Mins: Tadhg McDonnell coughs up possession cheaply and Monaghan go on the attack. Conor McCarthy takes the shot on and misses poorly. Ciaran Byrne makes his first contribution with a savage catch from the kickout. Louth play it slowly though, and Tommy Durnin kicks a wild wide. Louth 0-21 Monaghan 2-16

56 Mins: Ciaran Byrne is on for Louth in place of Kieran McArdle. Andrew Woods curls a two-point effort just short. Dara McDonnell wins another kickout for Louth, the centre-back having a brilliant day. Louth 0-21 Monaghan 2-16

55 Mins: The Monaghan crowd have now found their voice, as Bannigan curls over a point to take the lead. A big fifteen minutes coming up. Tommy Durnin is on for Conor Early. Louth 0-21 Monaghan 2-16

54 Mins: GOAL for Monaghan! Stephen O’Hanlon beats Niall McDonnell in the air using his momentum, as Stephen Mooney loops a handpass across the face of goal. All level. Then Louth race down the pitch and Kieran McArdle strikes the bar! No joy for Louth. Louth 0-21 Monaghan 2-15

51 Mins: A great score from an unusual source; the left boot of Louth full-back Donal McKenny. Really good play from the Ardee man. Monaghan get a long pass in quickly, and McCarron catches and shoots over the bar. Louth 0-21 Monaghan 1-15

49 Mins: Conor Early gets beyond the defence way too easily and slips over his first point of the game. Louth are really in a purple patch. Max Maguire comes on for the Farney County now, and is involved as Jack McCarron curls over a two-pointer from play to break Louth’s momentum. Louth 0-20 Monaghan 1-14

47 Mins: There was a definite goal chance for Maguire, but he leathers it over the bar in the end. Maybe that’s the smart move. At the other end, Louth win the ball back well but can’t get out of the corner, and eventually it comes back to Dessie Ward who takes a poor two-point attempt. That sets up Louth for a counter and Craig Lennon hares down the field to score. Louth 0-19 Monaghan 1-12

45 Mins: Tadhg McDonnell opens his account, beating Conor McCarthy for pace and popping one over the bar. Louth then give away a silly free around the arc. The fouled looked inside, but McCarron’s effort would be for two in the end. HawkEye is called in, but that one was well wide. Louth 0-17 Monaghan 1-12

43 Mins: Tadhg McDonnell makes a good first impression, cutting through the Monaghan defence and feeding Ryan Burns, who cracks another over. At the other end, Stephen Mooney makes a good start to his day with a neat point. Louth 0-16 Monaghan 1-12

42 Mins: McCarron misses a kick that he would normally score in his sleep. Paul Matthews is on for Conor Grimes now. Louth 0-15 Monaghan 1-11

41 Mins: Ryan McAnespie is off for Monaghan, with Stephen Mooney on. Tadhg McDonnell has come on for Louth, who sneak back in front thanks to a curling Sam Mulroy point. Louth 0-15 Monaghan 1-11

40 Mins: Some great swarm tackling from Monaghan wins the ball back and they get forward quickly for a Bannigan score. One in it now. Then they win the kickout and Andrew Woods scores from it. Louth 0-14 Monaghan 1-11

38 Mins: Stephen O’Hanlon wriggles free of his man and wins a free just outside the arc. Jack McCarron nails the two-pointer. Louth 0-14 Monaghan 1-9

36 Mins: The restart takes quite a while, as all the Louth backroom staff trudge across from the Cusack Stand to the Hogan. Louth get up and running immediately with a score from James Maguire, and then Kieran McArdle gets their second in a minute. Louth 0-14 Monaghan 1-7

Ian O’Riordan brings us a half-time update from Croke Park:

"A hotly contested first-half of football finished with Louth taking the advantage, Ciaran Downey firing over an excellent two-pointer just before the hooter, to give them a 0-12 to 1-7 lead.

Louth endured a big setback after eight minutes when midfielder Sean Callaghan was sent off for a high shoulder into the head of Oisín McGorman, shortly after McGorman had released the ball. Monaghan were already 0-4 to 0-0 to the good, and Louth looked to be in trouble.

But they came fighting back through James Maguire, Sam Mulroy and then a big two-pointer from Dara McDonnell. Both teams were also creating goal chances galore, Monaghan getting the breakthrough on 20 minutes when Stephen O’Hanlon makes one of his trademark bursts towards the goal, setting up McGorman, who deftly slipped the ball into the net.

Monaghan added another point shortly after through the lively Andrew Woods, up 1-7 to 0-7, on 28 minutes, but they wouldn’t score again, as Louth finished out the half with four unanswered scores, including James Maguire and Ryan Burns, before Downey shot them in front.

They’ll still have that numerical disadvantage for the second half, but Louth will be well satisfied with where they sit for now."

And here is the red card tackle from Sean Callaghan, pretty cut and dry really.

Here is Monaghan’s lovely goal from that first half in Croke Park. What a run by O’Hanlon and what a dummy from McGorman:

35 Mins: That’s how you do it! Ciaran Downey takes things into his own hands and smashes over a brilliant two-pointer.

Half-time: Louth 0-12 Monaghan 1-7

34 Mins: It doesn’t really come to anything, but that was a wonderful run by Stephen O’Hanlon, taking the ball from one 45′ to the other. Some player. Then his Monaghan colleagues dally on the ball and lose it after all that work. The Louth shot falls short, but Mooney leaves it behind and is lucky not to concede. Then Monaghan miss their own gilt-edged goal chance as O’Hanlon totally scuffs a left-footed effort. Louth 0-10 Monaghan 1-7

30 Mins: That’s the leveller from James Maguire. This is a great patch for Louth. Louth 0-10 Monaghan 1-7

29 Mins: Ryan Burns creeps just inside the arc and hits a superb strike over the bar on his left foot. Now Louth win the kickout and win a free for a pulldown by Dessie Ward. Mulroy converts. Louth 0-9 Monaghan 1-7

27 Mins: Monaghan spurn a massive goal chance, but McDonnell does do very well to smother Woods in front of goal. The big man manages to take a point from it though. Louth 0-7 Monaghan 1-7

25 Mins: Oisín McGorman hasn’t been hitting the mark with his point attempts despite the goal he scored. His latest effort flies way wide. Kieran McArdle is tackled a bit wildly so it’s a free well in range for Louth. Mulroy converts. Louth 0-7 Monaghan 1-6

23 Mins: Ciaran Downey is given a load of space to take a two-point shot, but it trails away to the right. Now it’s Monaghan who are doing better on kickouts. Louth 0-6 Monaghan 1-6

21 Mins: Sam Mulroy gets away from his man and floats a lovely effort over the bar from inside the arc. Killian Lavelle is marking him, but not getting to grips with him so far.

GOAL for Monaghan! Stephen O’Hanlon makes a trademark run up the middle, slips it to McGorman, and he dummies the square pass to go around McDonnell before burying it into an empty net. Louth 0-6 Monaghan 1-6

18 Mins: Bannigan edges Monaghan back in front with a free that was a little soft. Louth 0-5 Monaghan 0-6

16 Mins: Ryan Burns skins his man and sticks a lovely point over. Louth are doing well on Monaghan’s kickouts at the minute which is helping enormously. Louth 0-5 Monaghan 0-5

14 Mins: That paradoxical thing seems to have happened for Louth where the red card has given them a bit of life. Bannigan gets the next score though, bouncing off a man and slotting over. Louth 0-4 Monaghan 0-5

11 Mins: Goal chance for Monaghan, but Mícheál Bannigan ignores the square ball to McCarron and hits a tame effort right at McDonnell. Then Louth get a two-pointer to level the game from Dara McDonnell. Jamie Mooney gives away a short kickout then and Louth work a huge goal chance, but the young man makes a massive save to keep it out! Louth 0-4 Monaghan 0-4

9 Mins: James Maguire exposes a gap in the Monaghan defence and pops the first Louth score over the bar. He could have gone for more, but probably right to just get Louth moving. A good long kick pass from defence sets Mulroy up for his first point then. Louth 0-2 Monaghan 0-4

7 Mins: Red card for Louth. Sean Callaghan is sent off for a shoulder to the head of Oisín McGorman. It wasn’t really a dirty hit, but he can’t have any complaints about that decision. Andrew Woods gets a second point from the top of the old D. Louth 0-0 Monaghan 0-4

6 Mins: Louth work a scoring chance, and Craig Lennon has a half chance of a goal, but Stephen O’Hanlon makes an incredible tackle to rip it out of the wing-back’s hands. There’s a Monaghan player down now, so the clock is off. Louth 0-0 Monaghan 0-3

5 Mins: Two wides from Louth, first from Ciaran Downey and then from a Sam Mulroy free. Not a great start by the Wee County. Louth 0-0 Monaghan 0-3

4 Mins: Jack McCarron goes for a two, but it drops short and Niall McDonnell spills it. Monaghan nearly craft a goal chance from it, but Andrew Woods eventually does well to spin and pop it over. Louth 0-0 Monaghan 0-3

2 Mins: Conor McCarthy gets the first score of the game, an excellent two-pointer off the left boot that hits the crossbar and goes over. Louth 0-0 Monaghan 0-2

1 Min: And we’re underway after all the prematch shadowboxing with late changes. Monaghan have the first shot of the day through Oisín McGorman, but it’s pulled well wide. Louth 0-0 Monaghan 0-0

Ian O’Riordan is in place at Croke Park for Louth-Monaghan:

"Another sunny afternoon in Croke Park for the third of the All-Ireland quarter-finals between Louth and Monaghan, the big team news ahead of the 1.45 throw-in is that Monaghan goalkeeper Rory Beggan will not start due to dead leg picked up in last weekend’s Round 3 win over Westmeath.

Jamie Mooney takes over between the posts, stepping up from the under-20 team which he captained this year, but Beggan is a major loss, his kick-outs and accuracy from long-range frees critical in Monaghan’s progress thus far.

Oisin McGorman also comes in for Karl Gallagh at midfield. Ryan McAnespie also replaces Stephen Mooney at corner forward.

Louth make one late change, Conor Early taking over at midfield for Paul Matthews, both teams searching for the rarified air of an All-Ireland semi-final. Louth last made the semi-final in 1957, on route to their All-Ireland glory. Monaghan last made the All-Ireland final in 2023, but haven’t made the final since their sole appearance in 1930."

Here’s the team news for Louth-Monaghan. The main headline is that Rory Beggan will not start due to injury today. He is replaced by U20 keeper Jamie Mooney. Ryan McAnespie and Oisín McGorman also start in place of Karl Gallagher and Stephen Mooney. For Louth, Conor Early plays in place of Paul Matthews.

Louth: Niall McDonnell; Emmett Carolan, Donal McKenny, Daire Nally; Connall McKeever, Dara McDonnell, Craig Lennon; Conor Early, Sean Callaghan; James Maguire, Sam Mulroy, Conor Grimes; Kieran McArdle, Ciaran Downey, Ryan Burns.

Monaghan: Jamie Mooney; Ryan Wylie, Killian Lavelle, Dylan Byrne; Dessie Ward, Ryan O’Toole, Conor McCarthy; Mícheál McCarville, Oisín McGorman; Aaron Carey, Mícheál Bannigan, Stephen O’Hanlon; Jack McCarron, Andrew Woods, Ryan McAnespie.

Rory Beggan will not start today! He is replaced by Jamie Mooney, a big blow for Monaghan.

Less than a half hour to go before throw-in for the first quarter-final of the day. Louth and Monaghan fans are making their way inside Croke Park now, ahead of this historic clash between neighbours.

Eamon McEneaney knows Monaghan and Louth like no one else could. After a superb playing career for the Monaghan and a stint as their senior manager, he has gone on to lead the Wee County at senior level, and is the current Louth minor manager. Gordon Manning got his unique perspective on their clash this weekend and the relationship between the neighbouring counties.

[Eamon McEneaney’s divided loyalties: ‘It’s very hard for that not to be your first love’]

Hello and welcome to live coverage of the All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals in Croke Park. Kerry and Mayo put themselves into the draw for the semi-finals yesterday, and they’ll be joined by two other teams by 6pm tonight.

First up, there’s a local derby as Louth take on Monaghan at 1.45pm, with both sides having a good chance of making a rare semi-final appearance. ‘Rare’ doesn’t really cut it for Louth though, as their last semi was in 1957.

Then at 4pm, Dublin take on Galway in the last quarter-final. The Dubs shocked Donegal last week, but face a tough task in Galway, who are seen as the most likely challengers to the favourites, Kerry.

There’s also senior camogie action at 3.30pm, as Cork face Waterford and Galway take on Tipperary on the final day of Group 1. We’ll bring you updates on all the games throughout the day.

If you don’t quite know how the Camogie championship might shake out after the groups, Muireann Duffy has all the info you need. Reigning champions Galway against Tipperary need a win to book their semi-final spot from Group 1.

[Camogie permutations: Who can make quarters and semis with one game to go in group stage?]

Malachy Clerkin had an interesting chat with Brian Fenton ahead of Dublin’s clash with Galway. The midfield great might have proved just how much of a perfectionist he was in his playing days by saying his main takeaway as a player from the Donegal victory would have been “how good are Donegal, really?”
