ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers is set to commence on October 16 (Sunday). In the opening encounter, Sri Lanka and Namibia will take on each other. In the second match of the day, UAE and Netherlands will battle against each other.

There are 8 teams in the ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers. They are Sri Lanka, UAE, Namibia, Netherlands, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Scotland, and Ireland. They are divided into two groups A and B. All these teams will play 3 games each during ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers.

At the end of the qualifier round, the top two teams in each group’s points table will qualify for the super 12 round. 2 teams will join group 1 of the super 12 and 2 teams will join group 2. Hence, while 4 teams will qualify for the next round, 4 teams will be eliminated after the qualifier round of ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

There are 2 groups in ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers. There are Group A and Group B. In Group A, there are 4 teams- Sri Lanka, UAE, Netherlands, and Namibia. In Group B, there are 4 teams namely West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Scotland.

Every team will play one game against other members of its own group. After the end of the qualifier round, the top two teams in Group A and Group B points table will qualify for the super 12 round.
