Man United Exclusive: Clubs ready Harry Amass offers

Man United defender Harry Amass is a loan target for a host of EFL clubs in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Amass, 17, impressed in pre-season for United, but has he has not featured so far this term despite the ongoing left-back problems at Old Trafford.

New United boss Ruben Amorim is yet to made a decision with a number of EFL clubs keen to submit loan offers for the England Under-18 international for the second half of the season.

Amass has made the bench five times across all competitions for United’s senior side this term but was not in the matchday squad for Amorim’s first game against Ipswich on Sunday (24 November).

Luke Shaw was a second-half substitute for the Red Devils as he ramps up his return to fitness.

Amass has also played 10 times for United’s youth sides this term, notching three assists.

He came through the youth ranks at Watford before joining the Old Trafford club in 2023 – and was called up to train with the senior squad just a year later.

The teenager’s contract runs until June 2027.

Amass is just the latest promising talent to break into the senior setup at Man United, following the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.

Ethan Wheatley, Daniel Gore and Toby Collyer have all recently made their first senior appearance for the Red Devils.

United drew 1-1 against Ipswich on Sunday and sit 12th in the Premier League as Amorim gets his feet under the table at Old Trafford.
