On June 29, India lit like Diwali as Men in Blue lifted the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy after defeating South Africa by seven runs in the final match. However, team India was left stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl until the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah arranged a special Air India chartered flight to bring them home.

Fans rejoiced after the news broke, triggering a celebration across social media platforms. Amid the ongoing exhilaration, an X handle @flightradar24 revealed that the flight carrying the T20 World Cup-winning team became the most-tracked flight. “After being our most tracked flight for much of the last 15 hours, India’s World Cup champion cricket team is less than an hour from landing in Delhi,” the handle wrote on X.
