The National Championship marked the first Indoor Championship in program history for the Argonauts.Taking down many of the perennial powerhouses of Division II tennis, West Florida beat both the No. 2 seeded team in Flagler and No. 3 seeded team in Barry before their championship matchup against Washburn.After dropping the doubles point in their first two matches, the Argonauts came out swinging on Sunday earning a 6-2 win from the No. 1 doubles position and a 6-3 win from the No. 2 doubles position to claim the lone point. The matchup at No. 1 doubles was a rematch of the ITA Cup showdown between two of the top doubles teams in all Division II tennis.With the momentum on their side, West Florida continued their dominance in singles play, earning wins from the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 singles positions. Sebastian Rondon delivered the clinch for the Argonauts winning in three sets from the No. 2 singles position.
