Nick Kyrgios calls on Andy Murray to 'wrap it up' as Wimbledon made to wait on withdrawal decision

Nick Kyrgios feels Andy Murray should just 'wrap it up' and withdraw from Wimbledon based on his facial expressions during a practice session on Monday.

The 37-year-old underwent surgery to remove a cyst on his spine last week and has been battling to prove his fitness at Wimbledon ever since.

He was included in both the men's singles and doubles draw for the tournament, but it's the former where Murray's participation is in more doubt. Murray took to the practice court at Aorangi Park for 90 minutes on Monday, hitting with compatriot Kyle Edmund.

It now seems he is set to sleep on making a final decision heading into Tuesday with his match against Tomas Machac scheduled last on Centre Court.

Kyrgios is not playing at Wimbledon for the second consecutive year and is part of the BBC's commentary team for the tournament. And the Aussie tennis star doesn't want to see Murray make a decision he could regret later down the line. "I don’t know much about it personally, but Andy Murray is a legend of this sport," he said on BBC.

"He’s arguably one of the best to ever do it, so I completely understand him trying to get out here and get in front of his fans one last time. “I don’t think I’ve played through something as severe as that. “At the end of the day I’ve got a pretty good relationship with Andy, I don’t want him to do anything permanent to even affect his life after tennis.
