Richmond has confirmed Jacob Koschitzke and Jacob Blight will not be offered a contract in 2026.Richmond has advised players Jacob Koschitzke and Jacob Blight that they will not be offered a contract for the 2026 AFL season.Koschitzke played 16 games for Richmond across two seasons. He booted 12 goals from 14 AFL games in 2024 but only managed two games this year.The 25-year-old had previously played 48 games for Hawthorn where he was selected at pick No. 52 overall at the 2018 AFL National Draft and spent five seasons.Koschitzke played at both ends of the ground this season at VFL level.Blight, 23, played 10 games for the Tigers after being selected with the 2nd pick overall at last year’s Mid-Season Rookie Draft.The West Australian played seven of those matches this season, including the opening five matches of the year.Richmond Executive General Manager, Football Talent, Blair Hartley, thanked Koschitzke and Blight for their time at the Club.“We thank both players for their hard work and application during their time at the Club,” he said.“Jacob (Koschitzke) to his credit certainly put his best foot forward at VFL level this year and played a number of roles with minimum fuss.“Jacob (Blight) moved across the country to play with the Club mid-way through last year and we thank him for his commitment during his 18 months with us.“We wish them both well for their future pursuits.”
