The UEFA Champions League 2026/27 season will feature 36 teams in the league phase, with matches running from June 2026 through to June 2027, with the final fixed for Atletico Madrid's Metropolitano Stadium on 5 June.More than 80 clubs from across UEFA’s 55-member associations will begin the elite men's football competition through various qualifying rounds, representing different entry stages depending on their domestic league rankings and UEFA coefficients.Each association is allocated slots based on its UEFA coefficient ranking, which is determined by club performances in European competitions over a five-year period.From this structure, 29 teams qualify directly for the league phase, including the winners of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, while the remaining seven places are filled through the qualifying rounds and play-off system.As the 2026/27 season approaches, find out which clubs have already secured their places in Europe’s elite competition.
