Aden Flint: Rochdale sign ex-Walsall defender on short-term deal

Rochdale have signed defender Aden Flint on a short-term deal until January following his release by Walsall.

The 37-year-old former Bristol City, Middlesbrough and Cardiff centre-back played in all but two games for the Saddlers last season.

He joins a Dale side which have won just one of their five League Two games this season having returned to the English Football League (EFL) following promotion from the National League in 2025-26.

"It's been a frustrating summer waiting for the right opportunity and I'm grateful to come and play here," said Flint.

"I'm looking forward to helping the lads out - I've got good experience to use on and off the pitch."
