In the second ODI of the three-match series, at Bulawayo, Saim Ayub hit 113 not out in Pakistan’s total of 148-0 against Zimbabwe.At Bulawayo, Pakistan bowled out Zimbabwe for 145 and chased the target in 18.2 overs to win by 10 wickets and level the three-match series 1-1. Debutant Abrar Ahmed claimed 4-33 for Pakistan, while Salman Ali Agha got 3-26.Pakistan’s chase was dominated by Saim Ayub, who smashed the joint third-fastest hundred for Pakistan in the format and finished on 113 not out in only 62 balls. At the other end, Abdullah Shafique was content with his 48-ball unbeaten 32.Pakistan’s 148 is now the lowest total in men’s ODIs to include a hundred. The previous lowest, 157, came in a similar 10-wicket win, by Scotland against Namibia two seasons ago. Damien Martyn carried his bat through the Australian innings with 116 not out. It is worth a mention that Nicky Boje made 105 not out batting first against New Zealand at Potchefstroom in 2000-01, but rain prevented play after South Africa were 191-2 in 38 overs.The lowest women’s ODI total to include a hundred is 142-2, by England against New Zealand at Worcester in 2024.
