Who is it a big week for in the AFL? Perhaps it's a club that's down in the dumps or maybe it's a player that needs to lift, who is the spotlight on this week in the world of football? In the latest episode of ESPN Footy Central, footy legends James Hird and Dermott Brereton make their Round 10 'It's a big week for' picks.WATCH: James Hird and Dermott Brereton on ESPN Footy CentralJames Hird - CollingwoodFor me it's the Collingwood Football Club. I think that they really need to get up to Sydney [focussed], and I'd love to see them have a win.I just don't know where they are; they had a great win against the Bombers on Anzac Day, they drew against Hawthorn, but [their] game, in terms of their ability to convert, doesn't stack up with the best teams. They can't turn their transition or turnover game into goals. And Nick Daicos needs some help. He's a star, and I obviously, to my mind, he's still the best player in the competition, but where is that help going to come from in a system-based program that Collingwood have? Who is going to help him, particularly without Scott Pendlebury in the team this week?Brereton: "You know who I was looking at over the weekend, thinking Collingwood need to help them get some more scoring, they need [John] Noble!"Dermott Brereton - CarltonIt's a massive week for Carlton. So often we see a team that loses their coach during the week, and they bounce the next week and they find a way to win.Can they do that? And I'm just looking at this [game against the Bulldogs], you know that they have fallen out of every game the past two three years -- even in their wins, teams have come back at them after half time.Last weekend, against the best team in the land, was the first time they've bucked the trend and shown themselves that they can come on strong [in the second half].Ollie Hollands in the final quarter ... I know there was hugging and almost celebration in the loss ... but the Blues showed themselves -- the way Hollands moved through the lines and got the ball and projected the ball forward in the final quarter -- that they can see out matches, rather than just have their back to the wall and just say 'defend, defend, defend'.I thought they showed that they can see out the match.
