Retired Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal returns to action at the Australian Open for the Night of Legends event, to be held on 1 February, the same day as the 2026 men’s final.The two-time Olympic gold medallist will be back on the court days after his greatest rival, Roger Federer, played an exhibition doubles match with Ashleigh Barty, Andre Agassi, Lleyton Hewitt, and Pat Rafter as part of the tournament’s inaugural opening ceremony on Rod Laver Arena on Saturday (17 January).Nadal, a two-time Australian Open champion, will be joined by former No. 1 in the PIF WTA Rankings Barty and Aussie wheelchair tennis player Dylan Alcott.The ‘Night of Legends’ in Melbourne is billed as being full of interactive fan activities, live music with a DJ, and an opportunity to hear from the three stars.Those in attendance will have a chance to win prizes and tickets to the men’s final and a photo session with Nadal.
