Pat Cummins and his wife Becky have revealed they're expecting another child almost three years after the birth of their son Albie.

The Aussie Test cricket captain and his partner delivered the news on Instagram on Wednesday, writing: 'Incredibly happy to finally share our [baby emoji] news!

'We are so exited to meet you, baby, and to add a little more craziness to our lives.'

The post was accompanied by photos of Becky showing off her baby bump with Albie, who she is seen cradling while he places a hand on her belly in one image.

Cummins' teammate Mitch Marsh was one of the first to congratulate the couple on the heartwarming announcement, as were cricket star Travis Head's wife Jessica, Aaron Finch's wife Amy, Usman Khawaja's wife Rachel and Becky's sister Kara.

When Albie was born in October 2021, Pat and Becky released a heartfelt video capturing their journey to becoming first-time parents.

The video started with Becky telling a thrilled Pat she was pregnant, before documenting her growing baby bump, scans, and eventual arrival at the hospital to give birth.

Becky announced she was expecting Albie in a post on Instagram in April that year, sharing a photo of herself cradling her emerging baby bump.

Pat and Becky's joyful news comes almost four years after they welcomed Albie into the world

'I can't hide this happiness any longer!! Baby Boston Cummins will be joining us in Spring. We are SO excited to meet you!!!' she captioned the post.

The couple were supposed to marry in April 2021, but had to postpone their wedding because of the coronavirus pandemic.

'Today was supposed to be our wedding day,' Becky wrote on Instagram on April 1, tagging Pat in the post.

'Instead, I realised that I've never been happier, I've never loved, or appreciated you more. Here's to the future & to happy endings'.

They tied the knot in July 2022 at the luxurious Chateau Du Soleil in the Byron Bay hinterland in northern NSW, with Albie, then nine months old, held by a wedding guest nearby to the pair as they exchanged vows.

The wedding was a star-studded affair, with comedian Andy Lee and his girlfriend Bec Harding among those in attendance.

Fellow cricketers Mitchell Starc, Andrew McDonald, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon and his wife Emma McCarth and Tim Paine and his wife Bonnie also attended.

Pat is currently taking a break from the game to ensure he's rested for Australia's upcoming summer of cricket, which will see the team take on India in a highly anticipated Test series.

The two months off he's been given by Cricket Australia is his first proper break from the sport in almost two years.

Instead of playing in Australia's white-ball tour of England and Scotland next month, he'll prepare for the India series by bowling in one-day matches against Pakistan in November.

'The priority at the moment is to smash out some gym work and start reassessing in a few weeks a path forward,' he said.

'I'm just trying to fill up the bucket again after two years of non-stop bowling. (Hoping) come that first Test in as good of a position as I have been in for a few years.'

Cummins also said his decision to play in the Indian Premier League and Major League Cricket in the USA was not a case of club-versus-country.

'This was an interesting year in this gap leading into the summer was always planned,' he added.

'MLC popped up late, and when we were talking through the schedule didn't change the prep leading into the summer.'
