Latest ICC Rankings: Updated T20I Table After The Australia V Pakistan Series

Australia clean-swept the three-match T20I series against Pakistan. Here’s what their 3-0 victory has done to the ICC Men's T20I team rankings.

After winning the preceding ODI series, Pakistan couldn’t capitalise on the form, succumbing to their first-ever whitewash in the T20I format against Australia. Throughout their series, their batting was found wanting. Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah, all of whom played a crucial role in the ODI victories, had a middling outing, too.

Australia’s Spencer Johnson won the Player of the Series for his eight wickets in three matches, including a five-wicket haul in the second match. That was also the first five-for by an Australia player in their backyard. Pakistan’s only positive throughout the three T20Is was perhaps the form of Abbas Afridi, who was the pick of their pacers.

In the third game, Pakistan’s story was no different as they fell for another low score. Going into the match without their captain, Mohammad Rizwan, they were bowled out for 117 in 18.1 overs. Glenn Maxwell suffered a hamstring injury while fielding, but thankfully, the hosts didn’t require his service with the bat. Australia gunned down the total riding on Marcus Stoinis’ 27-ball 61 not out with seven wickets and 52 balls remaining.

First T20I: won by 29 runs ✅

Third T20I: won by 7 wickets ✅
