Two men have tragically died in separate incidents while on holiday in Spain.

Martin Boyce, from Lurgan, Co Armagh, died suddenly in Lanzarote on September 3, with his funeral taking place on September 14. John Myles Cherry, from Annaghmore, Co Armagh, died tragically on September 2, with his funeral also held on Monday.

Mr Boyce was a respected member of the GAA community, with Mullabrack GFC paying tribute to their "current club member and past player" who was part of the team that won the Junior Championship in 1983.

St Peter's GAC Lurgan, where Mr Boyce coached children's teams, said: "Through that involvement, his warmth, commitment and love of Gaelic football touched many within our Club and he was held in great respect and affection."

John Myles Cherry was described as a beloved husband to Lorna and father to Christopher. Tributes on social media called him "one of the nicest mannered, thoughtful, pure gentlemen that God ever graced us with."

Both communities are mourning the sudden loss of these two well-respected men.
