Zverev explains reaction to US Open championship match point

Zverev won his first title at the tournament in Flushing Meadows, defeating American Ben Shelton in four sets. On the championship match point, Shelton hit the ball out, but Zverev returned to the baseline as if he were preparing to continue playing.

The tennis player explained that he mistakenly believed the score was 4-1. According to him, if the score had been 5-2, he would definitely have been nervous. Zverev added with a laugh that there was nothing in his head at that moment.
