Alexandra “Alex” Eala continued to put in the work on Wednesday (Thursday, Philippine time) as she trained with former doubles partner Venus Williams ahead of the US Open singles tournament.

The US Open posted a video of the two during their practice session.

Eala previously teamed up with the tennis icon at the Bad Homburg Open last June, where they reached the quarterfinals, and at the Canadian Open earlier this month.

The world No. 18 previously shared how grateful she was for the opportunity to learn from Williams, who, in turn, described Eala as a 'world star.'

Eala is now awaiting the singles draw, where she is projected to earn her highest seeding in a Grand Slam tournament.

The Filipina star and men’s world No. 4 Felix Auger-Aliassime recently competed in the mixed doubles event, where they fell to Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils, 4-1, 4-1.

She will also take part in the fan week activity “Stars of the Open,” where she will face good friend Iva Jovic in an exhibition match. Part of the proceeds will go to the USTA Foundation.

Venus and her sister Serena, meanwhile, received wildcard entries in the doubles tournament.
