Bryan Mbeumo takes important measures amid Manchester United transfer 'frustration'

Manchester United are continuing their efforts to sign Bryan Mbeumo this summer

Bryan Mbeumo has been spotted putting in th work amid Man United interest.

Manchester United target Bryan Mbeumo has shared an insight into his pre-season preparations as his prospective move to Old Trafford remains ongoing. Ruben Amorim's side launched a third bid in excess of £60million after Brentford rebuffed their first two approaches.

According to a report from the Evening Standard on Wednesday, the Cameroon international is growing increasing frustrated at the time taken to complete a move to the 20-time Premier League champions. United are pushing to add reinforcements before their pre-season fixtures get underway after returning to Carrington this week.

Mbeumo has set his sights out on a move to the North West but the club are yet to reach an agreemennt. As a result, both the 25-year-old and the Bees have grown frustrated with the slow progress in striking a deal, it has been claimed.

Matheus Cunha became the first signing of the summer after the club wasted no time in adding quality to their front-line but their efforts to sign Mbeumo have been drawn out. It's now been over a month since reports surfaced claiming that he had opted for a move to United over Tottenham Hotspur.

New Brentford head coach Keith Andrews welcomed back the first phase of the first-team players returning for pre-season on Monday, though the United target was not among those.

However, he has been stepping up his bid to be in top shape ahead of reconvening with his current teammates or his new squad with American sports performance expert Fabrice Gautier.

And accompanying his story, he wrote: "Always a pleasure to do summer work with @bryan_.m19 from Cameroon national team in #la.

"Safe flight back to England. See you next summer at the real works (sic) cup. Always spent a lot of time dealing with #nba & #wnba players ankles soccer is another level. Thanks to those vicious tackles. Thank god for @waffstudio."

Mbeumo is clearly looking to return to action in the best shape possible and United will be hoping that's at Old Trafford next season.

Brentford howver, appear not to be under any pressure to let Mbeumo go and want to keep the attacker for their first season under Andrews. Sky Sports previously reported that the Bees are demanding in excess of £65million for his services.

Director of football Phil Giles says he would be happy for him to stay at the club if a fee cannot be agreed with United. "There is significant interest in Bryan. His current preference has been well publicised," he said.

"He had an unbelievable season, and we expected interest in him. From what I understand, he is also, if needs be, happy to stay at Brentford next year as well. We've spoken to Bryan and his representatives. It's not a given that he's going to depart this summer.

"If we get the right offer, there is the potential for a deal to be done, but there is only so much we can say now on that."
