Oleksandr Khizhnyak has entered the top 15 of the WBA rankings

Ukrainian boxer and 2024 Olympic champion Oleksandr Khizhnyak is ranked 15th in the World Boxing Association’s (WBA) updated light heavyweight rankings.

In August, Khizhnyak won the first championship belt of his professional career. In Lviv, he defeated Argentine Elias Palacio Durval by unanimous decision.

At stake was the WBA Gold International light heavyweight title. The judges awarded the victory to the Ukrainian with scores of 99–91, 98–92, and 100–90.
