People reported that British tennis player Arthur Fery offered to hit with the young royals when they attended the Wimbledon men's final with Prince William and Princess Kate.

The Evening Standard reported that the exchange happened as the Wales family arrived at the All England Club.

Arthur Fery Made the Offer During a Royal Greeting

Fery met Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince George and Princess Charlotte before the men's singles final. The greeting came shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday, according to The Evening Standard.

During the conversation, he told Kate that George and Charlotte could play tennis with him if they ever wanted to practice. Kate thanked him for the offer and congratulated him on his Wimbledon run.

Kate Had a Birthday Surprise for Fery

The exchange also happened on Fery's 24th birthday. People reported that Kate gave the British player a birthday card from the family after his breakout run at the tournament.

Fery had reached the Wimbledon semifinals for the first time, but his run ended before the final.

George and Charlotte Already Have Tennis Connections

Kate is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and regularly presents trophies at the tournament.

George and Charlotte have also shown interest in the sport. People noted that George has previously played with Roger Federer, while Charlotte has become a familiar presence at Wimbledon alongside her parents.

William and Kate attended the men's singles final with their two eldest children, while Prince Louis did not join them at the tournament.
