Jasprit Bumrah and play Kuldeep Yadav. India hammered Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first Test to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The teams will now move to Kanpur for the second Test from September 27. The BCCI named the same squad for the second Test but India could make a few changes to their combination for the Kanpur Test. India played with three pacers in Chennai as the wicket had pace and bounce, however, Kanpur wicket will be sluggish thus Rohit Sharma would be keen to play three spinners. This would also allow India to restand play Kuldeep Yadav.

India have a packed Test calendar and Bumrah will hold the key for the Rohit Sharma-led side. It is important for India to manage Bumrah's workload so the pacer getting rested for the second Test looks highly likely. India would also love to give Sarfaraz Khan a shot in the XI. While the team looks packed, the Bangladesh Test could be an opportunity where India can afford to test bench strength. Sarfaraz thus could come in place of KL Rahul , who is a direct competitor to Sarfaraz. If Sarfaraz performs well, then Rahul could be in trouble, however, he will be the first choice for India in Australia but Sarfaraz would keep him on his toes. As for Dhruv Jurel and Yash Dayal, the players are unlikely to get a game, but they could hope for some game time in the three-match Test series against New Zealand.

India's Likely XI For 2nd Test

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma should open the innings, followed by Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli. Gill scored a brilliant century in the second innings but the team would want see runs from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who endured twin failures. Rishabh Pant should bat at five, with Sarfaraz to follow. Kuldeep Yadav will bolster the India spin attack, comprising Ashwin and Jadeja. Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep should be the two pacers.
