Princess of Wales makes Wimbledon debut in 'Princess Diana blue' linen suit - & Next has a double for £49

Has Wimbledon really started if the Princess of Wales hasn't arrived yet? Today (Thursday 2 July), The Princess made her 2026 debut at The Championships, and was all smiles as she waved to the public wearing a stunning linen suit. Kate channelled a specific shade of blue with her look, taking the lead from the shade of her iconic engagement ring, which once belonged to Princess Diana.

The Princess was spotted walking through the crowds and chatting to other tennis fans, as well as taking her seat in the stands. For the occasion, she chose a linen blend suit which appears to be from Gabriela Hearst. She wore the doubled-breasted blazer with a pair of matching straight leg trousers with a gentle flare, over a crisp white top.

To accessorise, Kate added a pair of statement earrings with a large, blue stone to co-ordinate with her ring. She wore her hair up in a hair pony-tail to show off the jewels, and no doubt help keep her cool in the warm weather. A permanent fixture to all her looks, Kate was wearing Princess Diana's ring, and the sapphire co-ordinated beautifully with her carefully chosen ensemble.

Kate surprised tennis fans who were waiting in the queue outside the grounds, stopping tot take selfies and have a chat. She even had a go on the ticket desk, taking payments from visitors.
