India and New Zealand locked horns on day 3 of the first Test in Bengaluru, After being bundled out in the first innings of 46 runs, India conceded 402 runs to put New Zealand well ahead of themselves.

Meanwhile, a moment from the second innings of the game went viral as after the 7th over of the India's second innings, the commentators spotted a spectator enjoying an ice cream in the stands. On-aor commentators Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri could not help but notice the spectator's antics and made a few remarks on the fan.

“It is hot, you need that ice cream with someone hiding behind. He is a big unit but where is the ice cream boy?” Shastri said.

Gavaskar said: “He is hiding the ice cream as someone from his family must have told that you must not be eating ice cream so he is hiding it.”

New Zealand post 402 runs in the first innings

Speaking of the game, after bundling India out for a meagre 46 runs, New Zealand put in an excellent performance. The visitors opened with Devon Conway and Tom Latham, who scored 91 and 15 runs, respectively, while Will Young added 33 runs on the board.

But the star of the show was all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, who hit a magnificent century, scoring 134 runs in 157 deliveries. Former skipper Tim Southee also made a crucial contribution, adding 65 to help New Zealand go past 400..

With a mammoth trail, India will hope to put in a good showing with the bat and post a respectable target for the visitors to chase down.
