Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United are making big moves as the summer transfer window heats up. The Gunners have signed four new players already, with youngster Elijah Upson the latest arrival at the Emirates Stadium. More movement is on the horizon as there encouraging noises regarding Bruno Guimaraes, while Christos Tzolis is finalising his switch from Club Brugge.

Chelsea have made Morgan Rogers the most expensive British player in football history with a record-breaking £117m transfer being announced on Tuesday night. The Blues have also added John Stones to their wishlist and are in talks with Aston Villa over a loan deal for Alejandro Garnacho

Man Utd - and the aforementioned London clubs - have been handed a major boost in the pursuit of Alex Scott as the midfielder has turned down a contract offer from Bournemouth. Arsenal to formalise Guimaraes interest

Arsenal are expected to formalise their interest in Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes, writes Matt Verri.

The Gunners have admired the 28-year-old for several years, stretching back even before he moved to Tyneside from Lyon in January 2022.

Having missed out on Morgan Rogers, who was the north Londoners’ top target for this summer, the club’s focus has now shifted to Guimaraes.

Standard Sport understands that official talks between Arsenal and Newcastle have not yet taken place.

Why Rogers chose Chelsea

Linked with Arsenal, but it was only ever Chelsea for Morgan Rogers.

"I'm so excited," he said. "For me, Chelsea are the biggest club in London and a club I've always admired since I was a kid.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all plotting a move for Marcus Rashford.

The 28-year-old faces an uncertain future at Manchester United after Barcelona decided against turning his loan move permanent.

Expected to leave this summer, The I claim the aforementioned trio are interested in Rashford.

Chelsea complete record-breaking Rogers deal

Chelsea have completed the signing of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.

It's a record-breaking £117m deal, making Rogers the most expensive British player of all time, weeks after it was set when Elliot Anderson joined Manchester City for £116m.

Rogers has signed a seven-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Zidane wants Barthez in backroom staff

Zinedine Zidane wants Fabien Barthez to become his goalkeeping coach when takes over the reins as France head coach, L’Equipe reports.

However, Barthez does not currently hold the required goalkeeping coaching qualification.

The French Football Federation and Zidane want every member of the staff to be fully qualified in order to set the right example, so the incoming manager has reportedly looked into arranging for Barthez to complete the course quickly.

Chelsea have Scott bid rejected

Chelsea have seen a bid worth £60million rejected by Bournemouth for Alex Scott.

The Blues submitted a shock offer for the midfielder, who could leave Dorset after turning down multiple offers of a new contract from the Cherries.

Widespread reports claim that Xabi Alonso’s side put in an offer, but Bournemouth insist that the young star is not for sale.
