Ahead of the upcoming Test series between Pakistan and England, red-ball coach Jason Gillespie will consult with selectors next week to finalise the squad. This meeting is crucial as both teams prepare for the series, which begins soon.

Jason is expected to arrive in Lahore tomorrow, while white-ball head coach Gary Kirsten is already in the country evaluating player performances in the Champions One Day Cup.

Both coaches will participate in a connection camp on September 23 to discuss the team's strategy further.

Despite speculation, Shan Masood’s position as Test captain remains secure, with no indications of a leadership change.

After the series against England, the Pakistan white-ball team is scheduled to depart for Australia, where they will compete in three ODIs and three T20 matches from November 4 to 18.

The Pakistani team will also visit Zimbabwe and South Africa after the Australian tour.

The England cricket team is set to arrive in Multan on October 2. After a day of rest, they will train at the Multan Stadium. Members of the Pakistan Test squad are expected to report on the same day.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier revealed the updated schedule for the three ICC World Test Championship fixtures between Pakistan and England, which will take place from October 7 to 28.

The second Test, initially scheduled to be held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from October 15 to 19, will now be played at Multan Cricket Stadium. The first Test will kick off in Multan from October 7 to 11, while the final Test is set for Rawalpindi from October 24 to 28.

The decision to move the second Test from Karachi to Multan was made due to significant renovations underway at the National Bank Stadium, which is being prepared for next year's ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
