Yuvraj Singh is set to become the latest Indian cricketer whose career will be celebrated on the big screen as a biopic inspired by his life will be made on him. The soon-to-be released movie was announced by T-series earlier this week, with Bhushan Kumar joining hands with producer Ravi Bhagchanka.

Yuvraj is among the greatest cricketers to play for India and one of the finest match-winners in the history of white-ball cricket. The Indian cricket legend was the star of the show under MS Dhoni's captaincy when the Men in Blue lifted the 2007 T20 World Cup and won the Player of the Tournament (POTM) award when India were crowned Cricket World Cup champions in 2011 on home soil.

However, Yuvraj suffered an unfortunate setback just a few months later, as he was diagnosed with cancer and flew to the United States of America (USA) for treatment. The Indian cricket great returned to the cricket field months after his treatment and played for India in the 2012 T20 World Cup.

Yuvraj's biopic is set to be a story that will inspire a new generation of cricket fans to excel in the sport and also youngsters across the country to continue fighting for their dreams despite any roadblocks that come along the way.

India Votes On Who Should Play Yuvraj Singh's Role In Biopic

The producers of the movie are yet to announce the actor who will play Yuvraj's role, leading to massive speculations. In a poll conducted by TimesNowSports On X (formerly known as Twitter), Vicky Kaushal emerged as the standout choice for the role, winning as many as 44.4% of the votes.

Elsewhere, Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor were close second and third with 22.2% and 21.4% votes. Varun Dhawan also got 11.9% of people advocating his name for the iconic role.

Biopic on sporting greats is a trend that has captivated Bollywood in recent years, with a film on MS Dhoni being a shining example in which his role was played by the late Sushant Singh Rajput. The movie released in 2016 turned out to be a blockbuster hit.
