Nine deals Manchester United could still complete before the transfer window closesThe summer transfer window closes in less than a week, so here nine deals Man Utd could still complete before the deadline.Senne Lammens of Royal Antwerp. (Image: 2024 MB Media)Manchester United have under a week to conclude their summer transfer business. The window closes at 7pm on Monday (September 1), which is earlier than in previous years. United still have work to do in the market and are set to be busy, particularly because outgoings still need to be arranged.Ruben Amorim has strengthened his squad with the signings of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Diego Leon, but there could be more additions before the deadline. So we've taken a closer look at the deals United could still complete.Senne LammensLammens was omitted from the Royal Antwerp squad last weekend. United are pushing ahead in negotiations to sign the keeper for a reported €20million (£17m) and he is expected to be Amorim's latest recruit.Lammens, 23, is a young goalkeeper who could challenge Andre Onana for the No.1 spot. He stands at 6ft 3in, represents Belgium Under-21s and is seen as a goalkeeper with a bright future.Lammens watched Royal Antwerp from the stands last weekend.Carlos BalebaUnited enquired about Baleba earlier in the window. Brighton value the midfielder at around £100m and have planned for him to stay at the Amex Stadium in 2025/2026, so a late move is highly unlikely.Having said that, football has a tendency to surprise and United haven't made a great start in the Premier League, so could they be tempted to test Brighton's stance with a late bid? It's possible, of course, but Brighton have expressed confidence that Baleba will stay, and it's probably wishful thinking that United could make a dramatic swoop for the midfielder.Andre OnanaOnana's future is uncertain after he was named on the bench against Fulham last weekend. Amorim persisted with Altay Bayindir, despite his mistake against Arsenal..United take on Grimsby in the Carabao Cup second round on Wednesday. If Onana is not recalled to the starting team, he could make a dramatic move away before the deadline. For now, sources are adamant that Onana is staying, but a lot can change in a week and the pieces are being moved around the board in the goalkeeper department at Old Trafford.Onana was on the bench against Fulham. Garnacho has been training on his own at Carrington since reporting for pre-season in July.Jadon SanchoRoma contacted United to discuss Sancho on loan, with an obligation to buy for £20million next summer, but the Italian club could not agree on personal terms with the outcast winger.Sancho's move to Chelsea broke down due to his wage demands, so the London club decided to pay a £5m penalty charge to United to break their obligation to sign the winger. The 25-year-old needs to be realistic about his expectations for his next destination.AntonyAntony is believed to be holding out for a transfer to Real Betis. The Brazilian was hugely successful during his loan with Betis last season, but the Spanish club are struggling to finance a permanent deal. The player's agent has left the door open to Saudi Arabia. "What I can say is that the player is on the market, and there are several clubs that want to know his current status," he said. "We listen to the projects and analyse them. But he is open to moving to Saudi Arabia. Anything is possible."United would have to sell Antony for £32.8m to avoid making a PSR (Profit and Sustainability Rules) loss, and it would not be a shock to see him join Betis as part of a fresh loan deal.Antony wants to join Betis again. (Image: 2025 UEFA)Rasmus HojlundHojlund was dropped from the squad to face Arsenal in the Premier League and did not travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham because he is set to leave before the transfer deadline.Speaking after Arsenal, Amorim said: "It is our player - we have to make choices. We have players that have to stay helping the team from the outside. He has to fight for his place. We will see what's going to happen. Rasmus has the same characteristics as Sesko, so sometimes we need to choose."Italian champions, Napoli, are understood to be pushing to wrap up a deal for Hojlund.Kobbie MainooMainoo was an unused substitute against Arsenal and Fulham, raising concerns about where he fits into the team again. "He’s fighting for the position now with Bruno," Amorim said of Mainoo on Sunday.Mainoo's contract situation has stalled and the MEN reported in March that there was a genuine chance United and the youngster could go their separate ways in the summer window. There has been no breakthrough in contract talks and could he better off leaving for regular starts elsewhere?Article continues belowTyrell MalaciaMalacia celebrated his 26th birthday this week and interest has been thin on the ground following his loan with PSV, although Roma have been linked with a move for the defender.
