Rianna Jarrett has become the latest former Republic of Ireland international to announce her retirement from the game.The striker, who scored 111 goals in 139 appearances for her hometown club Wexford, will receive a special presentation from the club at this evening's final SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division game of the season against Cork City at Ferrycarrig Park."An inspiration to everyone, she has done so much for women's football in this country and helping young girls be creative on the pitch and confident away from football. On and off the pitch - a class act," Wexford FC Women said.The 31-year-old earned 16 senior caps for Ireland after making her debut against Italy in March 2016.Jarrett, who also had to overcome anterior cruciate ligament injuries during her career, started out at Wexford, before moving to Brighton & Hove Albion in 2020.The following year she signed for London City Lionesses, before returning to Wexford in 2023.
