Roger Federer, like everyone else, believes the Roland Garros final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner was an instant classic.

In an epic battle, Alcaraz emerged victorious after a gruelling five-hour, 29-minute showdown with Sinner. The Spaniard saved three championship points during the clash, ultimately claiming the trophy in one of the greatest matches ever.

Federer, no stranger to electrifying battles himself, was greatly impressed. In his own unique way, the former No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings described the match, affirming that despite Sinner’s narrow defeat, there were three winners in the historic clash.

“3 winners in Paris today: @carlitosalcaraz, @janniksin & the beautiful game of tennis. What a match!" the Swiss legend posted on his Instagram story.

With the title, Alcaraz became the ninth man in the Open Era to rally from two sets down to win a major final.
