Manly coach Anthony Seibold admits he is "not sure" whether star fullback Tom Trbojevic will be available to represent the Kangaroos next month.

It's no secret Trbojevic has been struggling with injury in recent weeks, but managed to push through the pain in both finals games for the Sea Eagles.

The 27-year-old was unable to lift his side into a prelim final on Saturday night as they fell short against the Roosters but had some nice touches in the 40-16 loss.

When quizzed on his availability for the upcoming Pacific Championships, Seibold said the upcoming medical checks for all Manly players will determine his status.

"I'm not sure of that," he said.

"I'd love to see Turbo represent the Kangaroos, but I'm not actually sure if he needs an operation or not ... there haven't been any conversations with me.

"We'll check on all our players and get medicals on all the guys and work out who is available for the rep footy. That's the next thing we've got on."

Trbojevic suffered a high-grade AC joint injury towards the end of the regular season but only missed a week of action before returning in the win over Canterbury.

The fullback is also believed to be dealing with a knee issue.

Another player from the Sea Eagles who could be in line for rep football selection is skipper Daly Cherry-Evans, with the veteran a leading candidate to wear the No.7 jumper for the Aussies after another tremendous individual campaign.

"If I get picked, I'd love to," the 35-year-old said.

"I know where I stand, so we'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

"If I'm picked, it would be good."

Mal Meninga is expected to pick his squad for the Kangaroos after the grand final.
