Luke Littler urges Man United to sign £51m Marcus Rashford replacement in January with four-word message

Luke Littler has told Manchester United which star they should have their eyes on over the January transfer window.

The 17-year-old darts star booked his spot in the PDC World Darts Championship semi-finals on Wednesday evening after beating Nathan Aspinall at Alexandra Palace.

However, Luke Littler, who is a boyhood Manchester United fan, had his mind on the football just hours before his quarter-final showdown.

After United’s latest 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United, Ruben Amorim’s alarming transfer comments suggest that the Red Devils will have an extremely limited budget in January.

It means United will either have to sell to buy or will have to explore loan deals next month – Littler took that into consideration when suggesting a signing on social media.

Luke Littler urges Man United to sign Dani Olmo

United have already lined up one deal for 2025 with Diego Leon set to join Ruben Amorim as his first signing.

But with the Red Devils slumped in 14th place in the Premier League table halfway through the season, Amorim will want more reinforcements if the budget allows.

One area that United could look to improve is in the No.10 position, with Marcus Rashford facing an uncertain future following his bombshell interview.

MORE UNITED STORIES

Barcelona star Dani Olmo is a perfect Rashford replacement, and Littler would love to see the Spain international arrive in Manchester this month.

Via his Instagram, Littler shared Fabrizio Romano’s update that Dani Olmo has been removed from Barcelona’s squad with the La Liga giants struggling to register him due to financial issues.

Underneath the story, Littler urged United to get a deal done in January with a caption reading: “6 month loan United”.

Reports throughout December claimed that United are keeping tabs on Dani Olmo’s situation at Barcelona.

The 26-year-old only made his return to Barcelona in the summer following a £51m deal with RB Leipzig, but the La Liga giants have had issues registering him in their squad.

United were interested in signing Olmo in the summer before his Barcelona move, and the Red Devils could reignite interest now he is able to leave as a free agent.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Olmo wants to stay and fight for his future at Camp Nou, but without a spot in the squad he may have to look for a move elsewhere.

It would be a bargain deal for United to explore, and would strengthen the attacking options available to Amorim.
