Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal £50m agreement, Man Utd land huge boost, Barcola to Liverpool

Brighton have signed Algeria international Jaouen Hadjam from Young Boys. They have purchased the full-back from Swiss side Young Boys.

Announcing the move, sporting director Mike Cave said: "We believe Jaouen will be a great addition to the group, adding to our already strong options in defence.

"He is a modern left-back known for his pace, attacking output and technical abilities which fits our style of play well. He has proven himself to be a versatile player in Switzerland and we are looking forward to working with him.”

It's understood he will cost the club around £9.5m to sign for the club.

Crystal Palace will want £25m if they are to sell Jean-Philippe Mateta, according to reports. Aston Villa recently saw a bid for the Frenchman be rejected.

It's now understood by Football Insider that Palace would demand around £25m to sanction a sale of the French international. Villa are also on the lookout for other potential striker additions.

Manchester United have received a transfer boost regarding the future of left-back target Alejandro Balde. Barcelona recently completed the permanent signing of Joao Cancelo, which is believed to have changed the picture for Balde significantly.

It's been claimed by Spanish outlet Marca that Balde and his agent are looking for a new club. This is a huge boost for United, who are looking to sign a new left-back.

The Reds have also been described as the front-runner to sign him, although they would like to take him on loan instead of sign him permamently.

Liverpool are holding additional talks with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a deal for Bradley Barcola.

The Frenchman is valued at around £145million, which would surpass the current Premier League transfer record of £125m, set by Liverpool's purchase of Alexander Isak.

It's now understood by Sky Sports that recent talks regarding a transfer have been positive and there is optimism Liverpool can sign him before the transfer deadline.

Arsenal have agreed to sell Gabriel Martinelli to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal. The Brazilian was left out of the Gunners' squad for the Community Shield triumph over Manchester City and the Premier League win over Coventry City.

It's now understood by French outlet Foot Mercato that Mikel Arteta's side have reached an agreement with Al Hilal. The Brazilian is expected to leave for around £50m, which would be Arsenal's highest ever transfer sale after the £35m departure of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool nearly a decade ago.
