Pakistan pacer Khurram Shahzad cleaned up Bangladesh's key batters in the same over easily on the morning of Day 3 of the second Test to leave the visitors in tatters. He first hit opener Shadman Islam 's leg stump to break his defense and then got the better of Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto to strike twice within four deliveries.

The dismissals came off the eighth over of Bangladesh's first innings. Shahzad dismissed Islam down the leg side as the latter went very far across trying to guide the ball down to fine leg.

Islam missed it entirely and the delivery crashed into the leg stump. Watch the video here:

Shahzad took three wickets in five deliveries and left Bangladesh at 75/6 on Day 3 of the second and final test on Sunday.

Bangladesh, which registered a historic 10-wicket victory over Pakistan, avoided the follow-on but Pakistan’s inexperienced pacers exploited conditions on a green-top wicket before lunch.

Shahzad (4-15) capped the session for Pakistan when he had Shakib Al Hasan leg before wicket while Mir Hamza took 2/29 after he replaced ace pacer Naseem Shah in the playing XI for the second Test.

All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who took five wickets in the first innings and Litton Das have scored half-centuries and have built a hundred-run partnership.

Mehidy showed aggression in the latter half of the session and smashed seven fours and Das survived after he needed treatment after a short-pitched delivery from Shahad struck him on the rib cage.

Bangladesh’s top-order stumbled against Shahzad and Hamza’s brilliant seam and swing inside the first hour as the tourists slumped to 26/6 after they resumed Sunday at 10/0.

Shahzad began Bangladesh’s slide when Zakir Islam (10), the sole top-order batter to reach double figures, flicked him to mid-wicket.

Bangladesh would now look up to Miraz and Litton to pull them out of trouble and put up a good first-innings score.
