LAHORE - M. Aayan of Fatima Group and Hajra Sohail of SICAS clinched three titles each at the Ali Embroidery Mills Independence Day Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2026 that concluded at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy, Nishtar Park Sports Complex, Lahore, on Thursday.M. Aayan claimed a hat-trick of titles as he first captured the boys U-12 singles title by defeating Daniyal Abdullah 6-1 and later edged Muaz 7-5 in boys U-18 singles final, and then partnered Muaz to win the boys U-18 doubles crown, beating M Umar Ali and Ahmad Fareed Yawar 6-3. Hajra completed her hat-trick of titles by winning the girls U-14 singles title, thumping Khadija Khalil 6-0, completed the brace by beating Bismel Zia 6-0 in U18 girls final, and then joined Zaina Abdullah to defeat Bismel and Khadija 6-1 in the girls U18 doubles final. Muaz earned a brace of titles as he first defeating Aayan 7-5 in the boys U-14 final before teaming up with him to secure the U-18 doubles title. In the boys/girls U-10 final, Wajeeha Fatima defeated Wali Abdullah 6-1, while Eman Shahbaz won the girls U-12 title after overcoming Wajeeha 6-3.Punjab Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Fazal ur Rehman and Omer Zaman of Ali Embroidery Mills attended the closing ceremony as chief guests and distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up, in the presence of SEVP of PLTA Rashid Malik, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, players, their parents and tennis lovers.
