I think you'll always look out of it, conceding a goal, you'll always pick the bones out of it, especially from a set-piece.

But I think this result will raise spirits [for Liverpool].

He's a coach who knows exactly what he wants and I think he's working them really hard and I think they are getting better.

'Close to the version we want'

Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola, speaking to ITV Sport: "I think the game was quite different phases. We were pushing a lot and then went ahead but once we were ahead they were close to our zones, especially set pieces we were suffering. I think we've been good.

"I felt the team during good phases today, it felt like energy and everyone pushing. It was close to the version we want."

On returning to Bournemouth this weekend: "I know the game is very difficult. You see how many they lose in a season and it is a difficult place to go. To win there you have to be really good."

'Big improvements needed from Spurs'

I think if we're being charitable, they scored a goal from a set-piece.

But overall, the bulk of the game they were a bit too nice and a bit naive.

There's some positives but still big improvements needed from this Spurs side.

'Important for our confidence'

"I like getting in the box and scoring, really important to score for our confidence and to win but we need to understand this is one game.

"The young players show every day in training they want to be here. They deserved this. I focus quite a lot on them and sometimes get angry but I think that is me wanting them to succeed.

It was an enjoyable game. Arsenal started brilliantly. Ipswich played with good courage, lots of good energy and it shows the fine margins.

Arsenal have got incredible players who can create something out of nothing, clearly they are an amazing team.

Ipswich finished with two goals and that helps going in to the weekend.

There are lots of positives to come out of the evening despite going out of the competition.

Unbelievable strike, it just drops down and you know Szoboszlai's got the audacity and the quality.

He's been brought on, he knows he can play in the big games. Spurs just don't clear it.

Steven Gerrard-like right into that top corner, goalkeeper stood no chance.

The rain is coming down much heavier now as Tottenham push and Giorgi Mamardashvili makes an outstanding save to keep Spurs out!

Omar Marmoush breaks away from his marker just inside the box and hammers a shot at goal, it takes a deflection and Mamardashvili somehow reacts in a split second to adjust and get a hand to it. Brilliant.
