The Crows kick off the round with a match against the CatsAdelaide has recalled midfielder Matt Crouch for its Gather Round clash against Geelong on Thursday night.The Crows will kick off the weekend at Adelaide Oval, with the inclusion of Crouch, who was managed for last weekend’s game, one of two changes.Forward/midfielder Zac Taylor has been named and is set to play his first AFL game of 2025, after impressing in the Club’s SANFL win against North Adelaide last week.“Matt has been an important cog in our team to start the year and his work around the contest will be important as we take on a strong Geelong midfield,” Adelaide Head of Football Adam Kelly said.“Zac played the last nine games of 2024 at AFL level and has started the year well in the SANFL, where he continues to example his ability to impact the game with his clean hands, high level decision making and execution by foot and hand.“We are excited by the opportunity to open Gather Round once again in 2025 against such a formidable opponent.“It is a privilege to be able to do so in what is such a significant weekend for football and the state, and we are determined to play our part in making opening night a memorable one for our fans, and for those who have travelled from afar.”Lachlan Murphy and James Borlase have been omitted.Sam Berry, Luke Pedlar and Borlase have been named on the emergency list.The Crows will name their substitute one hour before the game.Adelaide hosts Geelong at Adelaide Oval on Thursday at 7.10pm.Tickets for the Crows’ Gather Round match are now sold out.This match is a fully ticketed event with no further tickets to be released.The game will be broadcast live on Fox Footy, Kayo and Channel 7.Adelaide's Gather Round team is:
