India lost both openers in the powerplay, with Abhishek Sharma getting out for his third duck in a row. He equalled the unwanted record for the most ducks by an Indian in T20 World Cup history. Captain Suryakumar Yadav (34), Hardik Pandya (30) and Tilak Varma (28) contributed cameos. Netherlands spinner Aryan Dutt took two early wickets, while Logan van Beek scalped three. India won each of their first three group games to seal their Super 8 berth.
