Burna Boy will provide music for the first NFL game in France in 2026

The NFL already has a star for its debut in France. Burna Boy, a GRAMMY® Award winner, will headline the Halftime Show of the 2026 NFL Paris Game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints, which will be played on Sunday, October 25 at 14:30 CEST at the Stade de France. The Paris event will be one of the seven live musical performances scheduled during the 2026 NFL International Games, a record number of Halftime Shows spread across seven countries and four continents in the season in which the league will play more international games than ever before.h

Burna Boy will take the stage at a venue he knows well. Having become one of the most prominent voices in African music worldwide, the Nigerian artist has taken his afro-fusion sound from Nigeria to some of the biggest stages on the planet. A GRAMMY® Award winner and nominated on 13 occasions, he was the first African artist to perform on the main GRAMMY® broadcast and, in April 2025, also became the first African artist to headline a concert at the Stade de France. “Paris gave me one of the most important nights of my career, and returning to the Stade de France for a moment like this means so much to me,” said Burna Boy. “The NFL is bringing something to France that has never happened here before, and being able to be part of it while representing African music is very special. I intend to give the audience a show they will never forget.”

The NFL also emphasized the connection between the artist, Paris, and the stadium itself. “The first NFL game in France deserves a Halftime Show worthy of the occasion, and there is no artist better suited than Burna Boy,” said Tim Tubito, the NFL’s Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment. “Paris is one of the great cultural capitals of the world, and African music holds a central place in the city’s music scene. The 2026 NFL Paris Game, presented by American Express, will be the first NFL regular-season game played in France and will be held in collaboration with GL events and with the support of the French Ministry of Sports. Burna Boy’s full Halftime Show performance will be broadcast live and free-to-air in France via France Télévisions and will also be available on beIN Sports. L’Équipe will air the game later that same night. Burna Boy joins a lineup of international artists that already has several confirmed names. The Jonas Brothers performed at the 2026 NFL Melbourne Game on Thursday, September 10 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Pedro Sampaio and Ricky Martin will perform at the 2026 NFL Rio Game on Sunday, September 27 at the Maracanã Stadium; Ayra Starr will do so at the 2026 NFL London Game on Sunday, October 11 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium; Cage The Elephant will appear at the 2026 NFL Munich Game on Sunday, November 15 at the FC Bayern Munich Arena; and The Warning will headline the Halftime Show of the 2026 NFL Mexico City Game on Sunday, November 22 at the Estadio Banorte.
