USF Women's Tennis Closes Season with Loss to FIU

USF closed out the regular season with a hard-fought 4-3 loss to FIU on Sunday morning at a neutral site at Rice.

The Bulls opened strong, securing the doubles point with wins on courts No. 1 and No. 3. Sienna Leeson and Margherita Marcon battled to a 7-5 victory at the top spot, while Francesca Miglio and Melisa Senli added a decisive 6-2 win on court three to give USF the early advantage.

Amelie Drukerova added another point with a 6-3, 6-1 victory on court five, before FIU responded with a win over Loana Vargas on court six. Sienna Leeson put the Bulls back in the lead with a dominant performance on court two, 6-3, 6-2.

Several matches turned into tightly contested battles, including a three-set fight from Melisa Senli and a hard-fought effort from Josefine Falster on court four.

Despite the push, FIU ultimately secured the final point to take the win.

The match marked the conclusion of USF's regular season, with the Bulls showing resilience and competitiveness throughout. They will now turn their focus to the American Conference Championship, set for April 16–19.
