Liverpool are once again being linked with a move for Christian Pulisic ahead of the January transfer window. The Reds were first linked with a move for the United States international during his time at Borussia Dortmund.

Pulisic eventually left Dortmund to sign for Chelsea in 2019, spending four years at Stamford Bridge before joining AC Milan in the summer of 2023. Nearly 18 months later and the 26-year-old is being linked with a move to a new club once again, with Liverpool mentioned on the rumour mill.

According to Calciomercato, Liverpool are still admirers of Pulisic and could make a move to sign the forward either in January or next summer. However, the Reds will reportedly face competition from Manchester United and West Ham for Pulisic's signature.

Pulisic has scored seven goals with five assists in 15 appearances for Milan this season, including one strike against Liverpool in the Champions League opener back in September. The report goes on to say that the Serie A giants would likely demand a fee in excess of €60million (£50million) before considering allowing Pulisic to leave the San Siro.

Pulisic made his breakthrough in senior football with Dortmund in 2016, shortly after Jurgen Klopp's departure as manager. The former Liverpool boss has previously spoken very highly of Pulisic's abilities, and even addressed the rumours of the Reds being linked with bringing the player to Anfield back in 2018 before he eventually signed for Chelsea.

"If Christian would at one point join us, I don’t know," said Klopp in 2018.

"But I like him and it’s not like that could be the problem. We respect contracts still and there is no market that I know about in the moment.

"I have known him since he was a kid and he’s still not really old. He’s a fantastic player and it’s deserved that people think highly of him in America and in Germany it’s the same.

“If he wants to play in England one day or whatever and he, for sure, has the chance to do so.”
