A year after a successful exhibition event at the Olympic Esports Week Singapore 2023, table tennis will hold its inaugural World Esports Championships this week.On 27 and 28 November, eight players will compete in the finals in Helsingborg, Sweden, including two who have come through an online qualifier involving 212 participants.The other six include the two top-ranked players on Eleven Table Tennis, one host entry from Sweden, and three other wildcards. Seven of the players are male, with one female player. The winner of the Olympic Esports Week demonstration event, Antonin "11FR_Anto" Landreau, is also competing.The finals of this event will take place at the Helsingborg Arena during the ITTF World Youth Championships, which are being held in the same arena from 22–29 November.
