Teddy Riner will find a way to make it to Munich for the 2025 men’s UEFA Champions League final.

The five-time Olympic judo champion was celebrating his team Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reaching the men’s European football showpiece event, as they defeated Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate.

PSG are best known for their football club as the most successful in France with 13 league titles and 51 major honours. But the Parisian club also has teams in handball and judo, the latter of which is led by star judoka and PSG fan Riner.

As the match entered the final minutes on Wednesday (7 May), Riner sent a message to PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi on social media, saying, “President, I think I’m the first to ask for tickets to attend the final in Munich.

“We are in the 94th minute, President. Please, please, please, I want to be in the team’s suitcase to support them. We are one team: PSG Judo, PSG Foot and PSG Handball, I want to be in the team.”

PSG will take on Italian champions Inter Milan in the Champions League final on 31 May, which will be held at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. Inter reached their seventh final in competition history with a dramatic 7-6 aggregate win against FC Barcelona.
