‘Survivor’ Stars’ Son Rex Culpepper Dead at 28 After Dirt Bike Accident

Rex Culpepper, son of Survivor stars Brad and Monica Culpepper, has died at the age of 28.

The Tampa Bay Times reported on Tuesday, March 17, that Culpepper’s death was a result from injuries he sustained in a dirt bike accident over the weekend.

His fiancée, Savanna Morgan, shared the news of his death via Instagram on Monday, March 16.

“No one expects to meet the love of your life and lose them in only 6 short years after meeting …,” she wrote. “And one thing about us is we lived every single day like it was our last. … You made six years feel like a lifetime, Rexy.”

Culpepper was formerly a quarterback for Syracuse, and the program released a statement about his death as well.

“Rex lived his life with endless passion, having overcome cancer at the age of 20 while playing for the Orange,” the statement shared via X read. “Appearing in 30 games, Rex played football as fierce as he lived life. Our hearts are with the Culpepper family & all those who loved him.”

He was previously diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2018.

Culpepper’s father, Brad, played defensive tackle in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears before later appearing on Survivor: Blood vs. Water and finishing as runner-up on Survivor: Game Changers. His mother, Monica, also competed on Survivor: Blood vs. Water as well as Survivor: One World.
