The future of Mohamed Salah continues to generate headlines after confirming his departure from Liverpool FC at the end of the season. Amid growing speculation, Egypt national team coach Ibrahim Hassan issued a strong warning, urging the forward to remain in European football to preserve his global relevance.

At 33, Salah is set to close a historic nine-year chapter at Anfield, where he lifted major trophies including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. However, his next destination remains uncertain, with reports linking him to top clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and sides in Italy.

Hassan did not hold back when addressing a potential move to Major League Soccer. “He would be far from the spotlight. Nobody will remember him,” he said, even comparing the situation to Lionel Messi, claiming he no longer follows the Argentine star closely.

The coach also pointed to the Saudi Pro League as a viable option if Salah does not secure a strong European offer, highlighting the presence of stars like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Salah is currently sidelined with an injury and will miss Egypt’s upcoming training camp as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup. The national team is set to face Spain in a friendly after a dominant 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia, while uncertainty continues to surround the future of their biggest star.
