Tempe, AZ – In what has already been a record-setting year for current and former college tennis players on the ATP and WTA Tours, the recent release of the 2026 US Open Men’s and Women’s Singles Draws shows there is no slowing down for the pathway that is proving to land the most players within the Top 100 every year.

With more than 30 players across the men’s and women’s singles draw, the 2026 US Open will feature 13 women’s players with college ties, which is the most at the US Open in the Open Era. Meanwhile, the men’s draw will feature 22 players with college tennis ties, tying the most players featured at the US Open in the past ten years (2025).

Not just participating, but making deep runs as well, this year marks the first time this century that there has been a former college tennis player in the quarterfinals or better at the first three Grand Slams of the season (AO – Learner Tien & Ben Shelton | RG – Rafa Jodar | WC – Arthur Fery).
