As of late, he has been in woeful touch, but when on song, Babar is one of the purest strikers of a cricket ball.

In the ongoing Pakistan's Champions One Day Cup, Babar has looked in ominous touch. He scored a gritty fifty in his first match and also looked in sublime touch in the second game of the tournament. In of the incident, he even smacked Shahnawaz Dahani for five boundaries in a row, leaving the fans stunned.

The year 2024 has been woeful for Babar Azam. He had a disastrous T20 World Cup, both as a leader and as a batter, and it was followed by a horrendous series against Bangladesh.

In the series against the Tigers, Babar could only score 64 runs in 4 innings and his Test ranking also dropped below the 10th position. Ahead of the England series, he is honing his skills in the Champions Cup to get the lost touch back.
