The clay swing of tennis has moved to Rome, for the Italian Open 2026, also known as the Internazionali D'Italia.

Taking place from 5-17 May, the joint ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 event follows the Madrid Open 2026, which was won by Jannik Sinner and Marta Kostyuk.

World No. 1 Sinner takes to home soil aiming to win a record-extending sixth straight Masters 1000 title in the men's singles event, while Olympic champion Novak Djokovic (pictured) returns to the tour after three weeks away, for his first tournament of the year on clay courts.

Kostyuk withdrew last minute due to a hip issue, leaving Aryna Sabalenka as the women's singles top seed in the Italian capital.
