African footballers continue to play an influential role in the English Premier League, with several stars commanding some of the most lucrative contracts in the competition.

Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush leads the list of the highest-paid African players in the EPL, based on reported salary estimates published on MSN, Microsoft’s digital news and content platform, on Wednesday.

Players from Ghana, Cameroon, Morocco, Ivory Coast, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Algeria and Nigeria are also represented on the list.

Omar Marmoush – Egypt, Manchester City

Marmoush sits comfortably at the top of the list, with the Manchester City forward reportedly earning £295,000 per week.

The Egyptian joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 after an impressive spell in the Bundesliga.

His reported salary is almost double that of the African players earning £150,000 per week, highlighting his position among the Premier League’s highest-paid African stars.

Bryan Mbeumo – Cameroon, Manchester United

Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo is among the next-highest earners, with a reported weekly salary of £150,000.

The Manchester United forward joined the club from Brentford and has established himself as one of Cameroon’s leading attacking players in the Premier League.

Antoine Semenyo – Ghana, Manchester City

Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo is also reportedly earning £150,000 per week at Manchester City.

His rapid development in English football has seen his value and profile rise significantly, culminating in a lucrative move to the Etihad Stadium.

Mohammed Kudus – Ghana, Tottenham Hotspur

Yoane Wissa – DR Congo, Newcastle United

Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba is reportedly set to earn around £90,000 per week after completing his move to Manchester United from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 22-year-old spent three seasons at Brighton after joining from Lille in 2023 before securing his high-profile move to Old Trafford.

Baleba’s reported salary places him below several established African stars but still among the better-paid young African players in the Premier League.

Alex Iwobi – Nigeria, Fulham

Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi is estimated to earn around £80,000 per week at Fulham.

That translates to approximately £4.16 million per year, excluding bonuses.

Iwobi joined Fulham from Everton in September 2023 and remains one of Nigeria’s most prominent players in the Premier League.
