MANOA, Hawai’i — Cal Poly men’s tennis extended its series win streak against Hawai’i to three straight, securing a breezy doubles point and three singles victories to claim the 4–1 win.

Sean Ferguson, thrust into the lineup a few weeks ago due to injury troubles throughout the team, teamed with Raz Haviv for a 6–2 doubles win on court three before quickly dispatching his No. 6 singles opponent 6–0, 6–4. He improved to 3–1 on the season.

The doubles point clincher came from a hard-fought 6–4 victory at the top spot from the South African duo of Jovan Lubbe and Leo Matthysen. Lubbe followed that up with an even better performance at No. 1 singles, earning a swift 6–1, 7–5 win that put the Mustangs up 2–0 in short order.

Aaron Eliscu, who had played all but two of his singles matches this season in the bottom half of the lineup, stepped up in a huge way to secure the match-clinching point at No. 2 singles, 6–1, 7–6 (9).

In defeating his Rainbow Warrior counterpart, Eliscu earned his first collegiate victory in a top-2 singles slot. At 10–4 on the season, he remains Cal Poly’s 2025–26 singles wins leader.

Matches left unfinished included Eliscu and Kamyshev at No. 2 doubles (5–6, unfinished), as well as Haviv at No. 3 singles (3–6, 6–2, 2–1 unfinished) and Matthysen at No. 4 singles (4–6, 6–3, 1–2 unfinished).
