IBA, Zambales – The provincial government of Zambales is throwing its full support to the student athletes participating at the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) Meet 2026 in Tarlac.Zambales Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., through his executive assistant Larraine Rico, expressed his trust, support and admiration for the young athletes.He said that every effort of the Zambaleño athlete serves as inspiration for the provincial government to further strengthen its sports program.Ebdane also aims to foster unity among Zambaleño athletes for a single purpose and aspiration—to further enhance their abilities and achieve success."Lalaban, Aarangkada ang Zambaleño (The Zambaleño will fight, will surge ahead), he said.The sendoff was also graced by Provincial Sports Development Office (PSDO) head Jade Ballesteros and Zambales Schools Division officer in charge William Roderick FallorinBallesteros said the Zambales delegation is composed of 620 individuals, including 344 student athletesLast year, Zambales bagged third place overall in Central Luzon and this year the delegation is aiming for a better finish."What's even better is that the province competed in all sports events, including athletics, badminton, baseball, billiards, boxing, chess, gymnastics, softball, swimming, tennis, wushu, wrestling, paragames, pencak silat, weightlifting and taekwondo," Ballesteros said.Ballesteros added that the provincial government has been assisting the athletes since the start of training, all the way until their departure for the competition.He also said Ebdane has increased the allowance for athletes, coaches and trainers.“This is separate from the incentive the province will give to medalists under an ordinance passed in the province,” Ballesteros said.
